Festival Revelers Have the Chance to Join Callaloo in Costume on the Yak Float or Win a Flight for Two to Carnival in Trinidad and Tobago!

TORONTO - July 23, 2008 -Yak Communications will be participating in one of Toronto’s most exciting cultural celebrations, this year’s annual Toronto Caribbean Carnival Festival (Caribana).

One lucky winner and a friend will have the chance to take part in the parade by dancing on the Yak float dressed in brilliant Caribana costume, provided by Marlon Singh’s Callaloo, by entering online at www.yakcaribana.ca. Entries must be received by Wednesday, July 30th, 2008 at 11.59pm EST and winners will be notified on Thursday, July 31st, 2008

Yak is also offering the chance to win a flight for two to Trinidad and Tobago – right in time for the Trinidad Carnival! Caribana enthusiasts can enter online at www.yakcaribana.ca. The deadline to enter is August 31st, 2008 at 11.59pm EST.

One of the largest parades in North America and the highlight event of Caribana, the parade will take place on August 2nd, 2008 from 10am-6pm, commencing at Exhibition Place and proceeding west along Lake Shore Boulevard. Yak’s float will feature performances by Destra and Iwer George, DJ Paradise, 50 dancers dressed in full costume from the award-winning Callaloo Group, and over 100 masqueraders and friends accompanying the float.

During Caribana, Yak will also take part in the White Boat Cruise, Captain John’s Annual Party, the Jover Carnival and the Soca Rave events.
