Yak On the Go is a service whereby Yak becomes the dedicated long distance provider or Primary Interexchange Carrier (PIC) on your Fido cell phone, so that you can save on long distance calls.

When you decide to switch to Yak, your order triggers a request to Fido.  Fido will then make the change to your account, switching your long distance services to Yak Communications.  The switch is seamless.

Once Yak On the Go is active on your phone line, all of the long distance calls you place from within your Toronto Fido calling zone, whether they begin with 011 or 1, will be routed directly through Yak at our best rates.

When you place your call, you’ll actually hear a quick message saying that Yak is connecting your call, that way you’re certain to be saving with Yak.   If you don’t hear a message, you will be billed on your regular Fido wireless bill at applicable Fido rate.

To confirm that your line has been switched simply dial 1-700-555-4141 and a record message will confirm your line’s current long distance provider.
