Yak Long Distance - How It Works

With Yak Long Distance Yak becomes the dedicated long distance provider or Primary Interexchange Carrier (PIC) on your local phone line.

When you decide to switch to Yak, your order triggers a request to your local service provider. Your local service provider will then make the change to your account, switching your long distance services to Yak Communications. The switch is seamless and there is no need for you to notify your previous carrier, your local service provider will take care of that.

Once Yak Long Distance is active on your phone line, all of the long distance calls you place, whether they begin with 011 or 1, will be routed directly through Yak at our best rates.
