A. No, we will take care of that for you. As long as you are keeping your exising phone number, your phone provider will be notified by Yak of the change in service. -

A. Yes. Emergency 911 and 711 services are available to all Yak Home Phone users and no additional charges apply. -

Q. What features are included with Yak Home Phone voicemail?
A. Yak Home Phone voicemail includes a 1 minute personal greeting, an extended absence greeting, new messages are kept for 21 days, and saved messages are stored for 7 days, ability to re-save expired messages, ability to send messages within the voice messaging system, a 20 message maximum, and a maximum message length of 3 minutes. -

Q. What will happen to my existing voicemail if I switch to Yak Home Phone?
A. When you switch to Yak Home Phone, you will migrate to Yak's voicemail platform and any saved messages or greetings will be lost. You will also be provided with a new password to access your voicemail. Q. Are there any taxes or other government fees that I should know about?
A.Your Yak services are subject to both federal (GST) and provincial taxes (in those provinces where such taxes are applicable), with the exception of Yak High Speed Internet service, which is exempt from provincial tax. For more information on taxes or government, please contact our friendly Customer Service Department.

Q. How do you protect my payment information?
A. The information submitted on our web site is protected by the highest level of industry-standard SSL encryption. All of the credit card or chequing account information received by Yak is encrypted and stored on our secure billing servers. -

Q. Do you send a bill before you charge my credit card or process an EFT payment?
A. Yes, you'll always receive your invoice approximately 10 business days before any payments are processed.
